DarkMatter d20?

What, besides the cover is new?

All of the art on that page (minus the cover) looks like it's either from the Alternity book or the Shades of Grey dungeon article.

I also recognized some art in the book from the equipment book, but none of that shows up on the preview page.

I haven't seen Shades of Grey, so I can't compare its artwork. I was comparing D20 to Alternity Dark Matter artwork (and I think I saw a picture taken from Killing Jar in there, too).

And we can buy Heap's SFX Skills PDFs [if they ever come out].
Uhm, dude... they are out.

Unless you're referring to the traditions yet to be covered by Heap. Personally, I could be happy with just Diabolism; Enochian Theurgy is merely icing my cake, currently.

Just sent an inquiry about SFX Skills: Hermetic Alchemy to the publisher. The MS is, at this point, done but for the lickin' over of the golden calf.

I have to say, I'm proud of this one. I've done some new things with the interactions between SFX Skills, material components and foci ...

Your alchemist will be able to turn lead into GOLD ... and that's the kids' stuff.

How about the sinister and lyrical Glissade?
Amaze your friends and kill your enemies as their own clothing comes alive under your control.
Create life in your own image.
Obtain the fabled Philosopher's Stone.
Undertake the Lazarus Endeavor.
Learn the secrets of immortality!

I have never played the Original Dark Matter or even seen a used copy so im pretty happy with the new book being published, though i have to wait till my birthday to actually read it.
I plan on using parts of it in my Up coming Call of Cthulhu d20 modern game.

I got the book for two reasons.

First, because I wanted to support d20 Modern. I really wanted to support it with d20 Spectaculars, but that's another story for a completely different thread. I want WotC to support d20 Modern, if only because it gives us all more options for our games. (See the chocolate/peanut butter comment earlier, only the other way.)

Second, because I'm running a D•M game, and I didn't want to use a PDF at the gaming table. Sure I could have adapted any rules from Alternity over to d20M, but this is just easier. Sure, I wish the Hoffmann Institute was a Skeptic Organization, but then again, that wasn't in the original game. (Though, it sure would have made a lot more sense for a Skeptic organization to be investigating all this paranormal stuff then an Alternative Energy research company.) Heck, the Hoffmann Institute, as outlined in both d20MM and d20D*M still seem to be closer to a Skeptic organization then an Alternative Energy company.

You know, I always thought the alternate energy company idea was supposed to be a cover designed to throw off suspicion.
