But remember, there can only be a master and a apprentice - maybe that´s what Anakin is supposed to do - rebalance the force to ensure that there are only two evil forces - The Emperor and Darth Vader :) No space for Jar Jar...

Jar Jar- The weakest link of the Dark Side.

It can't live up to my memories of seeing the original one at the drive-in in 1977.

My experience of "seeing" the first one at a drive in? Sleeping thru it. But then I was about 6 or 7 years old at the time and it WAS past my bedtime.... :heh:

I'm excited. I've always been excited. I saw "The Phantom Menace" and "Attack of the Clones" first in full (in that order) in the theatres.

Defender of the Prequels, they call me.

...all right, defender of The Phantom Menace.

I'll bet Tarkin can. Tarkin = More Evil than Jar Jar. Evil = Not good at remembering the don't kill "valuable" allies rule when they are irritating.

Jar Jar may be evil incarnate, but Tarkin's got a death star that he actually uses. For a little while at least...

Yes, but the power to destroy planets means nothing compared to the power of the Dark Side.

Mandatory Star Wars quote provided by the Jundland Society of Bantha Herders. If it's not Tuskan-style, it's not a true Bantha!

I tried to hold out. I really did.

But there it is. I am excited.

Embrace the dark side, noctural mouse...

I'm still not excited about it. I'm starting to think I've outgrown Star Wars.

Skywalker can't kill Jar Jar. I mean he's gone OVER to the dark side.
Pretty much my thoughts. His journey to the dark side has to consist of evil acts, right? Killing Jar Jar would pretty much absolve him of any evil act up to and including producing a series of three movies that blaspheme the galaxy's greatest space opera.

What if Chewbacca kills Jar Jar? Killing a senator (or what the hell ever Jar Jar was in the second movie) gets him sent to those salt mines or whatever until he gets rescued by Han Solo, yet marks him as a true hero.

Ahh. . . the circle is complete.

And I saw an Episode III trailer on TV this morning and got a few goose bumps. Dammit!

Hmmm, I like this idea.

I too was not going to get excited, but I have been sucked in. No idea when I'll actually get to see it, but I know I will at some point...unless it blows so hard that that everyone says to avoid it - which I highly doubt. I'm sure there will be people who love it and people who feel disappointed once again.
