It wasn't fun for me. And I may have just been the only one that saw what I was forced to delete in his last post - but it was anyhting but nice. . .

I saw his last post. The guy came on strong at first, true, but it seemed like it took forever for someone to give a straight answer to the question. Maybe he was a troll, but it's tough to know for sure when he was treated like one right off the bat. I mean, really, it's possible that someone would see Eric's name all around the site and elsewhere on the net, and wonder who he is. At least give people the benefit of the doubt, and see what they do next.

Eric, ColHardisson mentioned in that other thread that you had some articles published in Dragon. Which issues were they in? I'd like to check them out if I have those issues.

My published articles on role-playing games are "Hitting the Books" (DRAGON #212) and "Right from the Start" (DRAGON #208).

These types of articles would NEVER fly in the new Dragon Magazine, btw. Not enough crunchy bits.

Yeah, I know the question was answered eventually. Most of the replies were just goofing on the guy and the question. Even those who answered, did so after kidding around. It would have been easier to tell if he was a troll or not if if we saw how he acted after getting a straight answer initially. As it was, I could see a newbie getting frustrated with being goofed on immediately, or just given strange, uninformative answers. Maybe he was a troll, maybe not. It's hard to say.

As for expletives - someone new might not know the rules of the board. This board is very unusual in its strictness and consistency with that. The vast majority of boards are lightly moderated, if at all, and are very rough-and-tumble.

Thankyou ColonelHardisson for standing up for a newbie on these boards. I ainta newbie to DandD though. I was asking a serious question and your right I was played around with. Also I was very surprised to have been moderated for using an expletive that I had already censored that is why later on I thought I would just go all out (which was a bit dumb I admit but it was stupiudly earlier in the morning and I was peed off.)
