DaVinci Code Trailer

First Post
I don't believe I saw this posted yet. But the DaVinci Code trailer is up at apple's site.

I really enjoyed the book so I am eager to see the screen adaptation of. Plus I am a big fan of Tom Hanks, I want to see how he portrays Robert Langdon.

Angles and Demons would have made a much better movie IMHO. Still will see this movie. The darn thing wouldn't work for me this morning but is this trailer basically a picuter of the Mona Lisa with a blurb or is it actually scenes from the movie?

Ugh. The books were bad enough, now I'm going to have to deal with the movie. Why couldn't he write misconceptions about some other religion?

"Misconceptions" is a very polite name for it... Especially considering that disclaimer at the beginning of the book.

Though for me the bigger problem by far is how contrived and weak the various "clues" were... Yes, I'm sure professional cryptographers are frequently stumped by word-scramble puzzles...

What a waste of good actors.

The actors are laughing all the way to the bank.
I saw the trailer when I saw King Kong. I never read the book. I have been waiting for the paperback here in the USA, they keep pushing it back, and pushing it back.

I can't say that I'm especially excited about this movie. I thought that the book, while entertaining in places, was incredibly overrated. I still can't figure out how the book sold as many copies as it did, because to me it seemed to be a fairly run of the mill conspiracy theory story with a religious angle.

I do agree with Dagger75, though: Angels & Demons would have made a better movie.

Eh - an entertaining rehash of a bunch of old ideas and conspiracy theories. Nothing terribly original.

The sad thing is - once you've read a few of Dan Brown's books, you realize they're all the friggin same! Same concepts, same character stereotypes, same plot devices, same hectic pacing.

YAWN! Write something different for a change, man!
