Dawnforge Release??

I don't have the exact date, but I know Goodman Games is putting out "Morningstar" next month (October) - it was one of the 11 finalists. The author, who posts on here sometimes, can probably fill you in on the exact details and give you more information.

Say, hasn't Blackmoor slipped as well? I seem to recall it coming in October, but now it seems November is when it's supposed to street.

Dawnforge sounds really neat. Might be interesting to amalgam the two worlds such that you make a 50/50 world where Dawnforge is Midnight before the fall.

A gold star and a cookie to Starman, for getting the right Duke Nukem title :) :) Its a fitting comparison - both titles are/were hotly anticipated, and the only answer when asked for release dates was "soon......."

Estlor - Who is publishing Blackmoor? Any details??

Dawnforge/Morningstar - Anybody have any info on support once these campaign settings are released?? Are there going to be adventures/supplements, or are these going to be solo products???

I think they will have the very same approach to them that FFG had with Midnight, a set number of products then drop entirely, unless, of course, the market receives them very well, as happenned with Mid, so if you like say to everyone it shines and hope everyone gets them, for everything else they won't be spending money on some boat that does not need new sails...

All I know is this:
Blackmoor is being published under a partnership between Zeigeist Games and Goodman Games (I get the release schedule of it from Goodman's website). Dave Arnson is involved in the project and it's supposed to be a full 3.5e conversion of the setting, divorced from the concept of it being a part of the Known World in the past. IIRC, elements from the Blackmoor Adventures in OD&D will be represented (Order of the Frog, The Beagle, etc). I think it's also supposed to treat the subject a bit more seriously.

Beyond that... who knows? Neither company has been forthcoming with information beyond that.

Morningstar will have full support. I'm working on the second book right now (Sorry, no details until I'm allowed).

That means the first one is complete and ready to be sent to printers?

Not at this point, but it is underway. The world draws on campaigns I've run for over 13 years- There's plenty more to say about this world.
Yeah I already know it and that is what makes it even more interesting, I was wondering if taking some pages from the final book and making them a preview for the released book wouldn't make for a good teaser...

Final stage then... just be careful since many dms are very careful with settings that make so much material work in a way that they start to get stuck with a world they cannot change themselves...

Keep up the good work and maybe when the reviews start coming out I change my mind and get it... who knows... depends on how it will appeal to me at the end.
