Is this book available yet?

I'm currently reading the Quick Launch book and loving it...
Thanks, and yes.

You can order it from Indie Press Revolution. It says "temporarily out of stock" as we sold out from our initial printing, but more are on the way and should be there in a matter of days. And FREE SHIPPING in the U.S.

It is also available through regular distribution via Key20. So, if you want to support your FLGS, they can order through Alliance, ACD, etc.

Monkey people, wolf people, rock people, dinosaur people, plant people just don't do it for me. I prefer aliens in my sci-fi (like most of those in the GURPS Traveller Aliens 1-4).
Your certainly entitled to your opinion as to what you like stylistically. I do feel the need to point out that the anthropomorphism in the xenomorph pool is rationalized with science. It is not mere happenstance ala Star Trek. After all, we do have a technical advisor on the team, and we vet everything with him before it hits the page. Ultimately, the decision was that too-alien aliens are fun to read and not as much fun to play, and we want DS to be fun to play.

I emailed Indie Press about the next order and didn't get a reply. Thanks for the info. Any suggestion on when I should order a copy?

I did call a local comic/gaming store to see if they could get me a copy and every distributor that have access too said the book wasn't available...

I am just disappointed. I really like OQL and HR was such a major let down. The only section that interested me (before I sold it) was on the Vaasi. For being a paranoid, "evil" species, they sure are interesting.

Now that I have your attention Justin- how are the plant and turtle species related? Or should I say, how did the turtles derive from the plants?

Just another example of how messed up the who distribution model is. I have real-time access to my inventory report at Key20, and I know they have stock to feed the distributors. In any case, ordering from IPR is easy enough and, again, free shipping. They should have the books first thing next week.

I am sorry to hear that; obviously we want our customers to be satisfied. And, on second reading, I think my reply to you above may have come off as defensive. That wasn't my intent. I think there's an inherent trap in the sci-fi genre because there are so many flavors of it. I can easily see why not everyone will like HR, but for others it's fully in their sweet spot. Actually, Christopher makes the point well in his review:

I would have preferred more downright mysterious objects, more transhumanist ideas, and more strange alien life instead. Those are mostly personal preferences, however, and don’t reflect the score or the value I see in this product.
I just don't think you can make a sci-fi setting that will please all sci-fi fans. In any case, if there's something I can do to minimize your disappointment, let me know. Perhaps a free copy of one of my other products? Poisoncraft?

I'm not sure I understand the question. By "plant species" I assume you're referring to the haimedians, but I'm not sure which species you're referring to as the "turtle species". If you can clarify which species you're talking about, I'll do my best to answer.

The psionic turtles who are hippies with their "Red Truth drug". At least they looked like turtles to me and they are said to derive from the original plant people.

Yes, there is. I wrote a rather scathing review of the xenomorphs Terraformer relating to the same issue I have with HR. Is there any chance to rectify that in the next collection of xenomorphs?
