Well la-de-da. Be sure to give our regards to the Cabots and the Lodges. :)
I was going to say something about how rowing regattas concentrate more pain in a square mile than any other sport, but then I realized what mattered more: my blood is bluer, my aspect graceful, and my attention sought-after. I'll make sure the Cabots and the Lodges have your regards.

As if they would want it. :p

My hope is that we'll have enough room for 6 games to happen at once...

Is that too few? Too many?

I've found that it's easier to let GMs post their games, and see which ones fill up. That's how you'll know how many it's good to have. But it's good to have 1 or 2 back up games because that crazy thing called life likes to happen.

I may be overly optimistic, but my concern is actually having TOO MANY games and not enough space so I want to have a realistic number in mind so that we don't go over and end up having to cancel games due to lack of space.

I think 6 games at once would be the max. Hard to tell since the room wasn't laid out (most of the stuff was pushed to one side), but I think we can handle that and not have to sit on each other's laps. I have no idea what kind of turnout to expect, though. The first one at UMd there were probably 50-60 ENWorld-affiliated people, but at the last there were maybe 10 of us?

I can't open the doors till 9am, and I'd prefer to wind things down around midnight so I can clean up after and still get the key turned in by 1am. Otherwise I have to arrange to come back the next morning to clean up. So say 10am-12am, fourteen hours of gaming divided into 3 four hour sessions plus an hour break in between each?

My hope is that I can arrive at 9am and set up juice, donuts, etc. for early morning snacking and chatting. :)

Maybe a 9:30 start time for games is best, though... otherwise you don't get lunch until 2.

However, really, it may be best to do two 4 hours sessions. In my experience, very few people attend the late-night session and I'd really rather have dinner someplace/socalize post-gaming.

What, you're all a bunch of old farts that can't stay up past 9pm? Gaming doesn't get *really* good till everyone is punch-drunk from caffeine, sugar, and fatigue.

A 9:30 am start is fine, but like I said, I can't even get the key till 9, so we'll have to hit the ground running as far as setup is concerned. If we only want to do two sessions, that's cool. The price is the same if we use it for one hour or all day, so we can be as flexible as we want.

Depending on my experience at GenCon, I may run a Dread game. I have a neat idea for a scenario, but that type of game is not my usual schtick, so I'm not sure if I can pull it off.
