DDI - 8000 subscribers and counting - When will it stop?

Wait -- does this mean that there are only 156 paid EnWorld community subscribers? I assumed it was much higher considering how many accounts there are.

I'm sure that must not include previous Community Supporters with ongoing accounts who have not yet become subscribers. As to the number, I hope that anyone who is not already a CS and who has DDI but also gets their news from here or hangs out here regularly does decide to sign up as a subscriber here.

Heh. 8000 subscribers? I dream about 8000 subscribers.

/sitting here on 156.

I would love to renew my CS account, but since the only payment option via Paypal needs a credit card for the new system, I have to disappoint. Half a year ago when I first bought a 3 month CS account, there wasn't this requirement.
Any chance to change this, Morrus? Or is there perhaps something I missed?

I could, but it's more fun to watch them act like there's a difference. :D

Not to fan any flames or anything, but Win/Tel PC users of my acquaintance frequently exclude Macs from the category of "PC" when they're trying (unsuccessfully) to tweek me about my favored computer platform.

If it's got an Intel CPU, uses a standard PC chipset and standard PC components, and runs Windows just fine, then I think it's a PC :).

If it is a computer and it and it is for personal use then it is a PC.

PC = Personal computer.

Agreed- but you can't tell my Win/Tel buddies that.

And apparently, that dichotomy has crept over into the advertising world.

Well, frankly my dear, I don't give a damn. :D

I have equal access to a bunch of PCs running Windows, Mac OSX and Linux. I still would like WotC to produce a Mac client, because I use that platform the most.

/M

Really, did it need to be .Net at all?? If they had used Java*, the application would run on Linux, Macs, Windows, etc. out of the box and I would be a happy subscriber...

Sigh! :(

*Edit: or any other cross-platform solution
