When was that? Is it tough finding a new group where you are now?

Moved at the end of december, just before christmas.

No, it's actually simple- I moved back home to the east coast (south joisey!) so I could start gaming again with some of my old "old group" when I want to but:

1. Moving across the country comes with a lot of time sucks not only before you leave, but when you get there as well.

2. My dad had major surgery so a lot of my time has been focused on helping him recover.

That said, things are getting closer to the point where I can begin to again commit to a weekly game. :)

I see. I grew up in Philly with relatives in Vineland, Cherry Hill, Ocean City, etc. Best of luck with your dad's recovery and I hope you get back to gaming soon! :)

I feel I should mention, as others have, that 2 of the players only/non-ddi subscribers are SO's of the 2 DM's. Also that all the players use the CB and even the book-only DM that is rabidly pro-paper, has embraced the CB, and even though he is not interested in DDI content, might subscribe if the CB was no longer available to him via my account.

For those of you running regular 4E games (weekly-ish for months on end), how many people in the group have DDI subscriptions?

0

How many of those people spend time behind the DM screen for the group?

0

How many are players only?

0

How many also keep up with the books in addition to the DDI?

0 We don't do DDI, though two people keep up (more-or-less) with the books

How many are books-only gamers?

Everyone, of course.

How many are DDI-only gamers?

0, of course

How many keep up their subscription constantly?

0

How many spot-subscribe (periodically just for updates)?

0, we consider that a cheesy thing to do, even if we subscribed.

How many subscribed but no longer do, preferring to either use someone else's subscription or simply what they have from their previous downloads?

No one ever subscribed to DDI

I'm just going to estimate, here:
How many people in the group have DDI subscriptions? 2 (out of 6)

How many of those people spend time behind the DM screen for the group? 2

How many are players only? 0 (We share LFR judging duty, plus 2 or 3 have alternating campaigns)

How many also keep up with the books in addition to the DDI? 5

How many are books-only gamers? 0

How many are DDI-only gamers? 0

How many keep up their subscription constantly? 2

How many spot-subscribe (periodically just for updates)? 3

How many subscribed but no longer do, preferring to either use someone else's subscription or simply what they have from their previous downloads? 1

My best guess:

How many people in the group have DDI subscriptions? 7 (out of 7)

How many of those people spend time behind the DM screen for the group? 1, but one player DMs another game that no one in this group plays.

How many are players only? 6, but see above.

How many also keep up with the books in addition to the DDI? 1, if "keeping up with the books" means "buy all PH + AV + power books." This is the person who's also a DM for another group.

How many are books-only gamers? 0

How many are DDI-only gamers? 6

How many keep up their subscription constantly? 5?

How many spot-subscribe (periodically just for updates)? 2?

How many subscribed but no longer do, preferring to either use someone else's subscription or simply what they have from their previous downloads? 0, but I just started a new campaign, so everyone's purchased at least purchased 1-month subscription, on my recommendation, in order to get the latest char builder. I suspect that at least two of them will let it lapse at the end of the month.

1. Out of five people, all have DDI subscriptions (although two are a married couple who share theirs)

2. Four of the five have acted as DM for the current campaign (Scales of War).

3. One player never wants to DM. The rest rotate.

4. The married couple are the only ones who buy books---and they buy just about everything not campaign-specific. [edit: I assume you are not counting Dungeon Tiles and minis, because we all bought the hell out of those]

5. None are 'books-only gamers', all are DDI.

6. I can't speak for the others, but I've let my subscription lapse a couple of times, usually when I knew I wouldn't be running for a few months. I wouldn't say I 'spot-subscribe', since I've only let four months lapse since I got my first subscription on day one.

7. All subscriptions are current, nobody leeches.
