DDI subscriptions go live tomorrow!

I too have my one years subscription, took a couple of attempts- kept coming back with errors, now I'm in I have a link to access the D&D Insider content... it doesn't work of course.
I had to close my browser then pull up the site again after getting my subscription. Can get to the content just fine now. Might want to clear your wizards.com cookie first, too.

The only thing that's kinda disappointed me is that they decided to implement this mid-month, instead of waiting till a new issue was starting. While I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed to make money off the mags, I just think they should have ended the free issues with the october ones.

Man, the site's slow. Did it get hammered by a million simultaneous subscribers, perhaps... :)

Not if indications on the other threads here and other places are true. It seems likely that the site is not functionally fully yet, due to payment problems and connecting payments to existing accounts.

So the back-end seems to be being taxed, or not fully functional yet. Given a few days it will probably start working correctly.

If they intended masses to subscribe today then there would be enough servers to handle the load in place in advance.

Today may also be the day that webcrawlers decide to go looking for sites and are updating their cached versions of pages and are having to try a page they knew existed but can no longer find to verify it to not exist and update its entire cache of the page or maybe the entire site.

Many things could be causing connection problems and page delays, including but not limited to a surge of people wishing to subscribe.

Forums seem to be down, The_Rouse.

Nothing but a plain white screen for me and it just keeps loading.

I too paid for my subscription this morning and am not getting anything in DDI but a message to subscribe.

They got me for this month (only because I had to get my car window fixed, so I couldn't pay for a year).

I'm really excited about the monster builder. I spend a lot of time retooling monsters and I love having the ability to make them very quickly.

Sweet.

No Paypal, the thing itself doesn't seem to work right, done awkwardly in the middle of the month, forums are going down?

...Standard Wizards Online stuff, then? :p

Are there still plans for a Dragon and Dungeon only subscription? Or do we have to wait another 4 months for that? ;)
This is the Dragon/Dungeon only subscription ($5-$8 per month, depending on how long you commit for). Well, almost, it also includes the D&D Compendium and web bonus tools. The software-based subscription, when they get that up and running, will cost more.
