DDI Updates

Never, IIRC. They won't until the online one is available.

Which is not awesome.

And then they'll update it on the "awesome" and "übber compatible" MB online... which is probably going to be as bad, if not worst, than CB2...

While that, yearly subscribers are penalized... fantastic, fantastic...

I haven't heard anything about that being the case.
I wish I could find the page, but I know that an online Monster Builder is coming from something one or another person announced recently.

Given that they didn't update the existing Character Builder because the online one was upcoming, I see no reason for them to update the existing Monster Builder until the online one is ready, either.

Which basically sucks. But I will be happy to be wrong.

"Q: What about the D&D Monster Builder? Will that be updated as well?
A: Yes. We are currently working on an updated, Silverlight-based web version of the Monster Builder. We expect to release the updated version in the future."

FAQ for Character Builder

Here you go.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I know that the MB is eventually going online.

What I was saying "I haven't heard anything" about was the classic MB not being updated in any way until then.

Oh, gotcha!

Like I said, I'd be pleased to be wrong. But I don't expect it right now. I'm resigned to manually entering any Dark Sun creature I use at this point. :)
