Come on. Not being able to play with them doesn't stop a real addict from getting them ;)

Personally, I don't have many people to play, either (every now and then with the DM of my in-week gaming group, and he only got like 6 packs worth of minis, spread over all the sets, plus some of the commons/uncommons I sold off, while I have completed all the sets). I just gotta catch'em all ;) (OK, OK, no pokemon lines any more.)

But then, I draw the line at one of each mini (with the exception of some of the non-rares, when I can get them cheap enough).

It's the old hunter/gatherer thing. Plus they're nice for RPG.

OK, I'm done justifying my minis purchases for now

I haven't managed to play a game of DDM for a couple of months, but I've been using the minis a lot in my RPG sessions.

Cheers!

More fighter types with longsword/shields.

Well, one so far - and it is a Tower Shield (not that common).

The other "longsword + shield" is the Undying Soldier, a deathless elf.

Note that this set has a dwarf with a mace! Now, that's unusual! :)

Cheers!

Interestingly, most of the previews so far have been for uncommons or rares - we really don't know much about the commons!

Cheers!

The uncommon Ogre is the highlight for me.

But a lot of nice miniatures shots posted there Merric. We'll get em all in our group. We've got em all so far - no reason to stop now!
