Just be aware that the Elder Blue Dragon is a Very Rare, which means you are very unlikely to pull it unless you open five or so cases. And because it goes for $50+, you also are unlikely to be able to trade for it for fewer than three (two, minimum, and only a select couple) other Very Rares.

I have to admit finding it ironic that WotC created Very Rares to try and drive sales, when it actually ended up chilling sales. Once people realized the disparity in value between the Very Rares, that disparity (combined with the severe unlikelihood of a favorable VR pull) meant they simply stopped buying.

But, you know, who could possibly have foreseen that the Elder Blue Dragon -- the only Huge chromatic dragon not yet released -- would end up at two or three times the demand of the next-most-popular VR? Aside from anyone.

Cheers for the heads-up but I was aware of the addition of the Very Rare to this latest set. It sucks royally as there are a few Very Rares that I like. At this point I may get 1-2 cases and just hope for the best.

I did pay $50 for a Huge Red (the GoL one) a couple of years back as that was the only way to get it. I may get sucked in enough to pay that for the Huge Blue. We shall see.

I'm sad to see them go. I was just starting to get into minis. They're a lot of fun to collect and use! I guess tokens are a lot cheaper and easier to come by, though, and I just got a set of them recently.
