Deadlands D20

Like several others, I agree that the d20 version of Deadlands lacks the personality of the original. We defaulted to the d20 version so that one hold-out (who refused to play non-d20) and it just wasn't quite the same.

If you've got the option, go with the original version.

I think you can still get the Players Guide to original Deadlands for free on RPG.now.

I just checked the site, and it is not free anymore.

Oh well, i will check stores around me.

Pinnacle's website sells it cheap, because it's discontinued in favor of their new generic system, Savage Worlds (the Deadlands game's not discontinued, just d20)

Hmmmm, so how does this new generic system work?
