Dear god...I'M A MUNCHKIN!!!!

My 11th level Fighter/Wizard/Bladesinger can easily achieve a 44 Armor Class within two rounds of combat. It's all perfectly legal too (28 base AC + haste + shield + full expertise). Does that make me a filthy munchkin too? I love roleplaying the character. Does that mitigate the munchkinism?

no force user, to be a true munchkin, you would also have to have 1 each monk and duelist levels. up, up, up goes the ac.

To me, as long as the character is realistic and you make him do just what he would do, it's not munchkin.

Anyone who defines the word munchkin as anything except an internet insult for someone who has a differn't style or taste in roleplaying than someone else, is quite frankly, and quite factually, wrong. This is one of those rare instances where I know I am correct.

How?

Simple, interview 100 people on what they think a 'munchkin' is, and you will get a bunch of differn't opinions. Oh sure some may agree with each other, but that doesn't make it the correct definition.

The fact of the matter is, a lot of people use the word to insult someone elses game. They may try to justify it by saying that so-and-so is bending the rules or powergaming or what have you, but that doesn't make it any less of an insult.

That being said, I can assure you Lord Ravinous, that the only way you can be a 'Munchkin' is if you decide you want to be one. There is no clear cut list of qualifications.

I don't think you're Munchkin, you're simply very well designed.

Now if you had gotten those abilities from magic items that you made yourself and that are not in the DMG, and you have several times the allowed wealth for your level, then you'd be Munchkin.

Very true.

This is why I don't use the term "munchkin" anymore.

I think "d*ckhead" serves quite well to convey my intended meaning, and is less prone to misinterpretation.

Well, ducks aren't renowned for their intelligence. Still, he could have thought a better term. Such as, "D*ckhead".
