Dear WotC: Be Blizzard

In theory, I agree with this. In practice... I wonder how long D&D can survive without new product coming out. Now that the market for 4e material has been undermined, just how long can they survive without putting 5e out there?

DDI should be able to sustain them for a long time, unless people are already cancelling left and right. I must admit, that I haven't bothered checking.

D&D is a single drop in WotC's revenue stream which is driven by MtG and Pokemon.

And even if that wasn't true WotC is now a division of Hasbro which has had some minor success with a few titles you may have heard of like Monopoly.

They are not going broke any time soon, even if d20s become toxic.:confused::uhoh:

You don't have to be exactly like Blizzard. Blizzard have never had an original thought in their lives, instead they take an existing concept and perfect it.

While they are good at polishing existing concepts, I think Orcs vs Humans was innovative. :D

Yes, by all means. Release a game that requires constant internet connection, even if you just want to play single player.

Can you tell I'm bitter.
