I love Blackdirge, (not in that way sicko ) but $19.99 for 154 pages? Don't you think that is a little high? Even a Terry Goodkind novel close to 1,000 pages is under $8.

Has the price been reduced? I just took a look at the page...

That's interesting. Do you (i.e. the publisher) not set the retail cost with Lulu? I'm guessing that means that they have a standard margin?

They set a basic cost, we add a couple of bucks on top for our cut. All we get to choose is how much that added couple of bucks is.

I've been looking at Lightning Source where it's the other way round. You tell them what the price you want to sell it to distributors is (i.e. the wholesale price) and then your margin is that minus the print cost. So if they reduced the print cost the price would stay the same but your margin would go up.

The book has been through two edits. One edit from yours truly to give it a general clean up and make it OGL compliant, and another, professional edit, by Jeremy Forbing.

Oh, that sucks big time. When I ordered it I was charged $19.99!!!

Hey, I got it, I love it, but come on, $5 is almost 2/3rds of a movie. Now I feel cheated.
