Maybe this is going to be one of those waaaayyy early playtest (like we got for the Artificer), heralding Planescape for 2010?

I'm not sure that's likely, though; I was under the impression that they were going to do all their "setting announcements" at each year's GenCon Indy.

Hmmm, personally, I think that Planescape, as an officially supported campaign setting, is dead (outside of the occasional DDI article), though parts of it will be incorporated into the core cosmology. As a result, I don't think its probable. But you know, I've been wrong before.

Yeah, my DDI subscription is turning out to be, without a doubt, the best money I've ever spent on a D&D product.

Seeing as we already know about PH2 and EPG, in what book are you speculating this new class to appear?

I think it's a lot more likely to be a playtest of something other than a class; an organization mechanic maybe?

Well we shall know come the first (or earlier) or December as soon as the page for the next Dragon comes out and we can check out the little blurbs under each title.

That's my point, I'm speculating, as there are still three months of next year left to be revealed as to what will be released. The product list only goes till September. This could be a preview that announces something big for Oct-Dec time period. Just guessing and adding to the hype.
