Hell, if Kamikaze Midget compliments me on an idea, I feel pretty damned spiffy. So while the thread on "Tranquility" is dead and buried where it really should be (who didn't see that one coming?)
Anyhow, I liked my idea so much, I'll paraphrase it here--
At a place like that prison, for lack of a better term, there would be years of torment, rage, and fear bottled up inside of it. Enough to sort of... pool together and form something rather malevolent, pissed off and ready to eat some adventurers in a d20 Modern or CoC game. If you upped the nastiness of the place described, you could very well have ghosts of former "students" roaming the place, or cultists sacrificing kids or feeding off the negative emotions there...
I dunno, just my 2 cents...just wanted my idea to breathe some...
Above all else, though, I'm not complaining about the thread being locked. As Mark said it was a sociological powderkeg.
