Deck of Many Things question!!!

OK one of the cards says "Lose all Treasure and Real Property".
The very next one says "Lose all magical Items permanently"

OK. So does the first one strip you of treasure and "property" as in Keeps and Houses and such? Or just what you have on your back? Or all of the above?

It seems the next one was the "Strip your magic items" one and not the former. I could be wrong. What do you all think?

Note the expanded description on DMG p. 238, [basically the same as AD&D 1st Ed. DMG p. 143], which clarifies it as "every bit of money (including gems, jewelry, treasure, and art objects).... buildings collapse into dust, etc."

Commentary:

This item stands out as using the same basic language from AD&D 1st Ed., and in some ways not interfacing well with 3rd Ed. rules. The designers may have not had time to properly consider it in this rule set.

The intent of the Ruin card has always been the loss of monetary-type possessions, and not magic items. However, only in 3rd Ed. has it been so convenient to exchange money for magic, such that most everyone's wealth is actually in their magic items. In previous editions, most everyone had a huge cache of gold and gems to their name, so it was a more significant penalty.
