"D6" = "Dee Six"
"Bulette" = "Boo lett"
"Archon" = "Arr Konn"
"Barghest" = "Bar Guest"
"Drow" = "Dark Elf" <I dunno, I never liked the word 'drow'>
"Elminster" = "Munchkin Nancy Boy"
"Ixitxachitl" = "I can't be buggered to pronounce this one, so deal..."

I'm in the DEE crowd as well.

As far as the drow issue goes, I too rhyme it with "cow". I've always had the impression that "dro" was the more correct way of saying it (like in Woodrow), but in my games I always take the "cow" road. Also, I don't say "bulay" because I'm relatively fluent in French and pronounce French-looking words the French-sounding way.

I think Yrthak would be either "yer-thak" or "ur-thak."

Worst monster name ever? Catobeplas. Just kinda rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? ;)

Ah, I forgot about the evil manta rays. Ok, that's definitely the worst monster name. At least catobeplas is moderately pronouncable by the average reader, even if it is a bit of a tongue-twister.

I read somewhere that it's pronounced "iks-iks-at-chit-ill," although I think it should be "ish-iks-at-chit-ill." Bloody hard to pronounce either way.

die is multiple dice, but dee.

Actually, "die" is singular, "dice" is plural. For instance, "you are throwing dice at my head", not "you are throwing die at my head".

I say "dee-six" also, unless I want to take the slow way, then I say "a six-sided die". But I also call Wizards of the Coast "Whotsee".

"Ixitxachitl" = "Icky" or "Aztec Death Fish", depending on need for brevity.

Continuing my lack of pronounciation form:

Iksy-tzar-chittle:
Where you try to roll the Iksy and tzar together somewhat so it flows a little better.

Herremann the Wise taking pronounciation to a new low... signing out.
