Deepwood Sniper question

First Post
A player at my table brung this one up and I thought I would run it past you guys to see if you could answer it for me. In the MotW sourcebook, it says that at 1st level the Deepwood Sniper (DwS) treats all projectiles that the DwS fires behave as if they were keen weapons. Now, at 6th level, the DwS gains the keen weapon ability. I dont see this ability explanined in the class features section, and it doesnt seem to make much sense to have this ability unless the DwS wants to cast this spell on his melee or hurled weapons, or other party members projetiles/melee weapons. I have looked in errata and FAQ at WotC and was wondering if I am reading the ability right, or is it some error that has been overlooked?

Any help you could give is greatly appreciated!!

The 6th level keen edge thing is something that was in previous drafts of the class, but eventually removed. It was left in the table by mistake.

Isn't the "keen edge" just an extension of the second level ability "magic weapon" where the critical multiplier is improved from X3 to X4?

No, the keen edge is a mistake and should be ignored. They missed taking it out in editing.
