So, now that Iron Fist is out we have all 4 defenders on Netflix. How would you make Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist in 5th editon. Bonus if we can figure out how to make the Punisher.

Take the Protection Style and Sentinel Feat. Use the marking option. Check out the UA Knight...

...oh, no, wait, sorry.

Also, those aren't the Defenders in my book.
My book was apparently published in the 70s - and a Warlock, a sea elf, and a Barbarian would at least vaguely suggest them.

I refuse to do Iron Fist because I have . . . issues with the casting. I'll trade you a Misty Knight, however.

I think I can do Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones, though.

Give me a few, and I'll get back to you.

Hmm... 4 people who primarily beat people up with their fists. It might actually be hard to differentiate between them.

Iron fist is probably the easiest. Open hand Monk for sure.
For cage I would go Bear Totem Barbarian to best represent the unbreakable skin. Add Tavern Brawler for sure.
Jessica Jones seems just has strong as Cage, but not as tough, also it seems she can jump really far. Eagle Totem Barb maybe?
Daredevil is probably also Monk, but maybe a Battlemaster fighter with Tavern Brawler for some slight variety?

Punisher as an assassin rogue with gunsmith artificer?

I just got Netflix (watching season 5 Longmire first, then the Defenders components, and looking forward to the upcoming Godzilla anime), but the comic book Punisher was more about picking his shots then going head to head (although that tended to happen).

Luke Cage

I pretty much put everyone as a human because there's nothing in the series that makes me see them as another race, though I could be wrong.

This is what I have for him as a 12th-level fighter:

Race: Human
Class and level: Fighter 14
Background: Soldier
Alignment: Neutral Good
Personality traits: 1) I'd rather sound corny than be a potty-mouth. 2) I was raised to be a gentleman, old-school.
Ideal: It's my duty to use my power to help others.
Bond: I have to clear my name.
Flaw: The easiest way to get me to do something stupid is to put a damsel in distress.
Ability scores: Strength 20 (+5), Dexterity 12 (+1), Constitution 20 (+5), Intelligence 11 (+0), Wisdom 10 (+0), Charisma 12 (+1)
Proficiency bonus: +4
Armor: all armor and shields
Weapons: all simple and martial weapons
Saving throws: Strength, Constitution
Skills: Athletics, History, Insight, Intimidate
Tools: Land vehicles. The soldier background gives Luke proficiency with one game set, but I never see Luke gambling or playing board games.
Features and Traits: Fighting Style (Defense), Second Wind, Action Surge, Martial Archetype (Champion), Improved Critical, Extra Attack (2), Remarkable Athlete, Indomitable, Additional Fighting Style (Protection)

Jessica Jones

Race: Human
Class and level: Barbarian 12
Background: Folk Hero
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Personality traits: 1) This hero crap isn't all it's cracked up to be, but I can't help but try to help those in need. 2) Protocol? Chain of command? Eat me.
Ideal: As much as I hate it, I do believe that with great power comes great responsibility.
Bond: I'm still haunted by what my ex did to me, and I do everything I can to redeem myself for the things he made me do.
Flaw: I'm abrasive at the best of times.
Ability scores: Strength 20 (+5), Dexterity 12 (+1), Constitution 18 (+4), Intelligence 11 (+0), Wisdom 13 (+1), Charisma 9 (-1)
Proficiency bonus: +4
Armor: light armor, medium armor, shields
Weapons: Simple weapons, martial weapons
Saving throws: Strength, Constitution
Skills: Athletics, Insight*, Intimidate, Investigation*
Tools: land vehicles, thieves' tools*
Features and Traits: Rage, Unarmored Defense, Reckless Attack, Danger Sense, Primal Path (Berserker), Frenzy, Extra Attack, Fast Movement, Mindless Rage, Feral Instinct, Brutal Critical, Intimidating Presence, Relentless Rage

*I tweaked the Folk Hero background a tad because Jessica is more urban than rustic, and her work as a detective makes her better at solving crimes than working a farm.

Matt Murdock (Daredevil)

Race: Human
Class and level: Rogue 8
Background: Urchin
Alignment: Chaotic good
Personality traits: 1) I never pay attention to risks. Never tell me the odds. 2) I'm a devout practitioner of my religion, and I feel guilty when I fall short of the mark.
Ideal: I will always fight for the little guy.
Bond: The neighborhood I grew up in is my home, and I will do everything I can to protect it from scumbags.
Flaw: I take my rage and frustration out on my enemies, and sometimes I go too far.[13][/13]
Ability scores: Strength 14 (+2), Dexterity 16 (+3), Constitution 14 (+2), Intelligence 12 (+1), Wisdom 14 (+2), Charisma 12 (+1)
Proficiency bonus: +3
Armor: light armor
Weapons: Simple weapons, hand crossbows, longswords, rapiers, shortswords
Saving throws: Dexterity, Intelligence
Skills: Athletics, Insight, Intimidation, Perception, Sleight of Hand, Stealth
Tools: thieves' tools, disguise kit, poisoner's kit
Features and traits: Expertise (Athletics, Insight, Perception, Stealth), Sneak Attack (4d6), Thieves' Cant, Cunning Action, Roguish Archetype (Assassin), Bonus Proficiencies, Assassinate, Uncanny Dodge, Evasion

Daredevil is a Monk/Battlemaster

Jessica Jones is a Barbarian/rogue

Luke Cage is a Barbarian

Iron Fist is a Monk, with maybe one level of Barbarian.

Punisher is a Ranger/Vengeance Paladin.

EDIT: More specific, I would probably put them all at level 8-10

Daredevil is something like Monk 2/Battlemaster 6, with max dex, nad maybe +2-3 wis.

Jessica Jones is Barbarian 3(Eagle totem)/Champion 3/Rogue 2, with expertise in Investigation and Intimidation. Her far jumping is covered by a high strength, which should allow her to go 20 feet at a running start.

Luke Cage is 100% Bear Barbarian, with Tavern brawler and Max Con and Strength, and above average Dex and Charisma, a Slightly above average Intelligence (probably 12), and he dumped Wis based on how often he walks into problems.

Iron Fist only has 1 level of Barb, for rage, and the rest is Monk, possibly with the Martial adept feat (Disarm maneuver).

Punisher is Hunter ranger 5/Vengeance Paladin 5, and spends all of his slots on Smites.

Note: This is all based on memory, with Iron Fist being the most vivid. I have not rewatched any of the shows, so cannot say I remember them perfectly.

Fwiw, I would say Strange is a Warlock, Hulk is Monk/Barbarian, Namor (from what little I remember about him) Would be a high strength fighter, with a little druid maybe? Don't know a lot of Namor. Ranger might work better...
