Defenses against Level Drain

What are some proactive and reactive defenses one can have against level drain.

This could be from undead attack, or from spells like Energy Drain or Enervation.

That is one spell defense. What about magic item defenses?

A templar with the negative energy aborbing armor from DotF is virtually immune to level drain. Just FYI. I was working towards this combo.

Globe of Invulnerability (agianst Enervation)
Project Image (coupled with Improved Invisiblity on the real you)
Mislead

Wall of Force (hemispherical around yourself)
Seeming
Otiluke's Resilent Sphere (to trap incorporeal undead)
Blink
Halt Undead
Non-detection (coupled with Improved Invisibility to prevent detection)

and that's only the Sor/Wiz list...

As far as Magic Items go, the Scarab of Protection blocks the next 12 levels of energy drain or the next 12 death attacks, in addition to granting 15 SR.
