This is the basics of the oposite of my Eldritch Defender prestige class. I'd really like a better name than battlemage, but i'm having trouble coming up with one.
The spell list is just PH spells...theires many of my own spells that would go on their as well, just havent added em yet



The Battlemage

Requirements:
Skills: Knowledge (Arcana) 10 ranks, Spellcraft 10 ranks
Feats: Combat Casting, Empower Spell, Widen Spell
Spells: Ability to cast 4th level spells, including at least 5 that deal hit point damage

BAB, BSB, Skills, HD : as wizard


Spellcasting: Full except 4th and 10th.



1st level: Damage Increase: at first level, whenever the Battlemage casts a spell from the Battlemage spell list, the spell does +1 point of damage per die. At 5th level, it becomes +2, and at 9th level, +3


2nd level: Battle Magic: at 2nd level, the Battlemage gains access to the Battlemage spell list. He may learn and/or prepare thease spells as normal for his base spellcasting class. Additionally, a Battlemage who prepares spells may prepare one extra spell per spell level per day that he can cast from the Battlemage spell list. Likewise, a Battlemage who casts spells spontaneously may add one extra spell to his spells known of each level that he can cast, from the Battlemage spell list.


2nd level: Boost DC: at 2nd level, whenever the Battlemage casts a spell from the Battlemage spell list, he gains a +1 bonus to the saving throw DC. At 6th level, this increases to +2, and at 10th level, to +3

4th level: Empower Spell: at 4th level, once per day, the Battlemage may cast a single spell from the Battlemage spell list as though effected by the Empower Spell feat without changing the spell slot used, or casting time. He may use this ability an additional time per day at 7th level. This ability may not be combined with the Widen Spell ability

5th level: Widen Spell: at 5th level, once per day, the Battlemage may cast a single spell from the Battlemage spell list as though effected by the Widen Spell feat, without changing the slot used, or casting time. He may use this ability an additional time per day at 8th level. This ability may not bed combined with the Widen Spell ability.

10th level: Blast of Destruction: Once per day at 10th level the Battlemage may generate a blast of pure magical energy. This blast has a range of Long, and detonates in a 20 foot radius spread. This blast deals 10d8 points of damage, and allows a Reflex save for half. The DC for the save is equal to 15 + the Battlemage’s relevant spellcasting ability modifier. The Increase Damage and Boost DC abilities apply to this ability.

1st: Burning Hands, Magic Missile, Shocking Grasp

2nd: Flaming Sphere, Melf’s Acid Arrow, Scorching Ray, Spiritual Weapon

3rd: Fireball, Lightning Bolt, Searing Light, Vampiric Touch

4th: Evard’s Black Tentacles, Ice Storm, Phantasmal Killer, Shout, Wall of Fire

5th: Cloudkill, Cone of Cold,

6th: Acid Fog, Chain Lightning, Circle of Death, Disintegrate

7th: Delayed Blast Fireball, Finger of Death, Mordenkainen’s Sword, Prismatic Spray

8th: Bigby’s Clenched Fist, Horrid Wilting, Incendiary Cloud, Polar Ray, Shout, Greater,

9th: Bigby’s Grasping Hand, Meteor Swarm, Power Word: Kill, Wail of the Banshee, Weird
