What is the best way to approach your DM about the current status of their game? As in you wish to inform your DM that their game isn't all that entertaining. The DM being a friend or someone you wish to keep DMing but think they should maybe move on to another campaign.

How would you approach them on such a topic? Or would you even bring it up? Is it better to sit quietly and hope things turn around or to speak up and risk hurting the person's feelings?

Well I think the first thing is to choose a neutral time to talk about the issues with the game. Don't do it right after a session where emotions may be high, get together during the week and talk about the game. I'd also stick to saying things with a "I'd the game more if" rather than "you're doing this wrong". You may also want to be active about what exactly you would want to add or change to make it a more enjoyable experience rather than just pointing out what you didn't like.

Basic tact and such all apply. Hope that helps a little.
