How would you approach them on such a topic? Or would you even bring it up? Is it better to sit quietly and hope things turn around or to speak up and risk hurting the person's feelings?
Well I think the first thing is to choose a neutral time to talk about the issues with the game. Don't do it right after a session where emotions may be high, get together during the week and talk about the game. I'd also stick to saying things with a "I'd the game more if" rather than "you're doing this wrong". You may also want to be active about what exactly you would want to add or change to make it a more enjoyable experience rather than just pointing out what you didn't like.
