"What needs to be done shall be done. You can count upon my support"
The priest bows at the Yluarmi's words. "Mustar of Ylaruam, I am heartened by your determination. It is most appreciated."
Solomon speaks, though no part of his body other than his mouth moves. His voice is deep and low, but clear and smooth. "What of this stranger pursued by the corpses. Was he identified?"
Captain Dargo shakes his head. "The man was unknown to the people of Kova. He was near death and was incoherent. When our messanger departed to return here, the man was being nursed back to health."
Prestel is initially skeptical at the mention of Demon's, for it has indeed been centuries since there was a confirmed sighting.
Still, he agrees that the Kovans are not a people to be easily frightened.
"These incidents do indeed warrent our investigation.
Will we be able to speak to any of the Kovan villagers?"
"The Kovan delegation departed weeks ago with the soldiers we dispatched." Lord Lutescu replies. "We can make a longboat available to you if and when you wish to travel to Kova. Also, our messenger from Kova can be brought here if you wish to speak with him."
The cleric turns and motions to a young brown robed adept who awaits in the corner.
"This is Brother Piotr." he says, indicating a young round faced man who looks perhaps 18. "I have arranged accomodations for you in the upper rooms of the Temple. Piotr can show them to you, if you wish to rest and speak amongst yourselves; you are after all strangers to one another. Feel free to formulate whatever plan of action you wish. After meeting you,I have the unmost confidence in your abilites. The village is of course open to you. If you require anything, consider Piotr your servant."
Lord Lutescu rises. "Forgive the shortness of this audience, but I must attend to other business. Captain Dargo and I shall return at the noon day sun. I shall be at your disposal at that time."
As the others speak, Sydney ponders the situation.(for Festy Dog)
Many of the descriptions given by the cleric are vague and could be anything. The small corpselike creatures, apart from being undead, do sound similar to accounts of demons named Jovoc. These are said to be gnome sized fiends, with black skin, decaying skin and permanently bloodstained claws.
Solomon bows as Lord Lutescu rises and departs. Then, to Piotr, "Please, show us our quarters.
When a modicum of privacy is reached, Solomon will speak to the others. "I am Solomon Kreel. I have some experience with demons and their ilk. I have dedicated myself to their destruction on this plane. I will undertake this mission. I do want to do some shopping before we leave town. The longboat seems like a good enough way to travel."
Sydney picks up Nibbles and follows Piotr. As they walk he addresses the party members present.
"Most of the information is vague, and ambiguous, but I think the small corpse-like creatures are Jovoc. They match the description given," The ferret on his shoulder whispers something, and he nods, "Oh, I'm Sydney by the way, Sydney Campbell. A pleasure, I'm sure."
He smiles and shakes hands, but is obviously distracted by what's on his mind.
"I would think travelling to Kova would be the best course, the threat may have moved on, but that would the best place to pick up any trail. My talent is not in tracking, is there such a one amongst us?"
Janos' hawk familiar gazes proudly back at the weasel, but only briefly. The hawk seems to act knightly like his master, or at least is trying the best he can.
Janos listens quietly what's been said as he doesn't know much about demons himself. Others ask for more information, but the holy warrior feels no need for more questions. "Innocents are suffering and evil is spreading out. We shouldn't linger, but make haste and travel to Kova, where we can begin closer investigations. The evil will perish under our righteous might and the land shall be safe again." Everybody gets the feeling this young man must be either very naive or a zealot - maybe both - but he seems to genuinely believe in his own words and mean well.

In the upper rooms:
Janos shakes hands with everyone. "I am very pleased to meet you all, gentlemen. I'm looking forward to fighting evil with each and everyone of you."
Turning to Sydney. "Jovoc? What sort of spawn of evil are those? Is there anything we should know about them when facing them in battle? Werevolves and vampires I've fought before, but I'm afraid, not any demons. Maybe you can say something as well, Master Solomon?" he says looking at the half-orc.
He finally states: "I agree, it is Kova where we should be traveling first."
OOC: Sorry for not posting earlier. Forgot to subscribe in this thread.
"I can tell you about them in more detail of you want. Let's see if I can remember anything," he says and tells them what he knows about Jovocs, and any abilities they may have.
