I'm not too familiar with this, but I'm a sucker for nice-looking art. Anyone have any advice or opinions on this setting? What makes this setting distinctive, or is it just another generic quasi-medieval fantasy setting?

It would be the latter part. First book was 3.0, other books 3.5. It's okay but seeing as how FFE is in the can about 98%, I'd get it only if you are looking for an okay read.
