So he is. Looking at the stat block it reminded me much more of a controller (not that solos really care very much about role in many ways).

I had to double check too (and agreed with Solo roles).

Solid article overall. I'm hoping this is the material that they have been meaning to get to us.

The cover art is awesome, here. It puts me in mind of shoggoths, a bit, from lovecraft - only with fewer eyes. I'd never really made a jubilex-shoggoth connection before, but now, after the art and the article, it just makes sense.

Jon Schindehette's blog ArtOrder ran a "Lovecraft Creature Lab" challenge a while back (pick a HPL creature and paint it), and Craig won the challenge with a kickass shoggoth

This article is a really, really, really good article.

And the art is stellar.

Keep yer eyes peeled: the DDI might be worth a month's trial subscription in a few weeks. ;)

While reading the thread and thinking since I last posted on it. I wish they implemented a voting system on the article. A small one or two questions that can answered with a few clix. Like "On a scale of 1 - 5 how was the art" and do that for fluff and content. Not to derail the thread too much, but I think WotC really needs to know this is the kinda thing we like and why.

Great article, on the day I resubbed :)

One line clinches it as hellish useful, that Jubilex knows the identities of the Obyriths, just imagine convincing him to tell you...
