Denzelian error

First Post
I spotted a tiny error for the converted Denzelian ooze- the hps are off and the bonus hp for being a large ooze (+15) were left out.

Cool monster, by the way, even if it has a funky name :D .

D'OH!

Um ... I mean ... Hey! Congratulations! You found the easter egg!

Your prize? The knowledge that you have good eyes and a keen sense for monster-making.

Use your power wisely ... ;)

Basically what happened is that I originally made the Denzelian a Small ooze, based on the size given in the original Fiend Folio. When I decided that it would actually be a large ooze, I didn't go back and change the hp. bonus.

Thanks for pointing out the error. :)

I was also going to mention that oozes aren't supposed to have Int scores or natural AC bonuses strictly by the book, but I then I realized you intentionally decided to make an exception for this unique ooze :) .

Yup. The Denzelian is quite an anomaly. I have been looking it over a bit more and, to be honest, I am seriously considering re-making it as an Aberration.

Even though it is amorphous, it isn't particularly ooze-like, as far as the DnD3e description is concerned.

Actually ... now that you have brought it up and I re-read the description ... that's not a bad idea at all.

Okie ... the Denzelian is now an Aberration!

Sorry to bother you again :D , but you forgot to change the creature's Initiative bonus due to the new Dex. And I think it gets a feat now for being a multi-HD aberration. Toughness might be good to make up for those hp it lost from being an ooze.

i had started converting the denzelian, but never got to finishing it. i'm pretty sure i was doing it as an aberration. i was using the 1E and 2E versions (it was in MC 14), so it was more useful and actually had some attacks. ;)

i had started converting several FF monsters (but erica, don't let that stop you from doing your thing!) but it was going to be awhile before i did more with them. i just posted all the ones that i was actually finished with.

Boz, I don't have the 2e version of the Denzelian, but if you want to you can edit it and give it the attacks it had in 2e. I won't mind a bit! :)

And Jim, you are right once again. It should have 1 Feat. Looks like I didn't think this one through very well. lol

Don't consider it a bother to us when you find an error. We want to bring the best conversions we can to "the community," and we can only do that if we catch all the errors we can! :)

erica, i think what i'll do instead is compare the changes i would make, and post them here; you can decide how to edit it, or if you even want to. :)
