Michael Morris said:As with judges, these positions are closed to publishers and would-be nominees as the staff are privy to private information (as in, having advance knowledge of who won what award in many cases).
Fathead said:I'll throw up some flash examples and put a bid in, but I'd like to know what the scope of the project is (the snippet above doesn't tell me much, and I've never attended the Ennies). Do you have an RFP, by chance?
jaldaen said:I was wondering if being a freelance writer this past year disqualifies me... I don't believe anything I've written this past year (2003) will be up for an Ennie... not out of a lack of quality, but a recognition that there are better products out there ;-)
Still in need of a Biz Manager, House Manager and Flash Programmer
I do. We've got this chimney...Snoweel said:Do you need a bricklayer?

Anyway, Regarding the RFP of the Flash program. The flash program is there to display product covers as they are announced by the award presenters. The ability to advance from one product to the next needs to be controllable. I also did a preshow last year which showed off all nominee products as well as some ads and trivia "slides" to occupy 45 minutes of time before the show. Total construction time for this took me 5 days - but I was doing quite a bit of on the job relearning.
The exact amount of razz & dazzle and complexity of the animation is left up to the designer, though I'd like to move beyond last year's slideshow in quality.
Fathead said:Should the razzle dazzle be left for the Ennies intro and the intros to each category, or do you typically have a good crowd for the preshow?
Do we already have images of the nominee products available?
Will there be an operator seperate from the presenter, who can advance to the next product?
Is there someplace where we can view last year's Ennies presentation?
