Destiny's Tears--Nemesis's Rage

"What do you mean? Where is she? What in name of Nemesis is going on?" Mrhazhar hisses as he tries to steady his uncle and get some sensical answers from him.

"She's dead. You killed her, but she enspelled dark magic in her lifeforce...in those tattoos on her body. Did you see evil energy spreading outwards?"

"Yes, Of course I did; what does it mean? Make sense of this uncle for it sounds like we do not have much time."

"I think she was just the pawn...you know of Defilers? They are secretive, my child. Always two there are; no more, no less: a master and an apprentice..."

"I think a stronger Defiler taught her whatever she was doing and then told her she would be immune to your attacks and that taunting you would trigger the dark magic...Either way, she caught me unprepared--I only had an instant before my Arris's Tear turned black to warn me of her presence, and then it was too late. I'm too weak to finish this thing...She must have marked others with that curse mark over her heart, a Defiler curse-mark. It lets her defile the souls of others into unredeemable evil. They fill with dark relentless power until they are unstoppable, and then they will likely go on a homicidal rampage, killing all the Mojiin and destroying our grove..."

"But...the magic will take time to work. The damned souls are as good as dead already, as they will be completely corrupted into evil, a fate worse than death...You need to kill them before the Taij can get them, kill them all and save our people from another massacre like the one at our village...Take my Arris's Tear. She was afraid of it, so it may guide you where you need to go. The tip will glow black when heading towards the nearest source of Defiler Taij magic, and it will turn all black when you are upon them...Go, child of Arris...Only you can..."

*He gasps and collapses from loss of blood, though Mhrazhar's efforts to staunch his wounds seem to be enough that he will survive this. Still, he'll wake up in a lot of pain in a while. His hand is reaching for a tiny blue sapphire in his pocket.*

Mhrazhar, Mojiin Inquisitor

Shock is apparent in his face as the realization that his uncle is still alive. He whispers "A master and an apprentice... huh.... ;)"

Mhrazhar slowly moves his hand to the blue sapphire and carefully picks it up. A single tear wanders its way down his cheek. "Rest my sister for you are safe for now." He looks at this Arris' Tear as confusion shows on his face.

Mhrazhar suddenly hisses "Zaryl!" and then his face softens as he looks again to his uncle. "The cycle of betrayal has come full circle." He smiles softly and weakly.

[OOC: It sounds like that this defiler has marked others with this tattoo - the Defiler's Curse Mark, or there are others with this tattoo, and that those marked as such will slowly become corrupted and be unredeemable, as well as doing horribly unspeakable things in the process. Their only salvation lies in death. Am I interpreting this all correctly? :) ]

(OOC: That's exactly correct, well except depending on your definition of 'slowly' it may not quite be 'slowly'. I don't know. For reference, is an hourlong transformation slow for you? A day? A week? ;))

*Taking the Arris's Tear and holding it in his hands, Mhrazhar notices that when he turns it with the point facing a particular direction, the tip goes from the normal bright blue colour to a deadly black.*

Mhrazhar, Mojiin Inquisitor; HP 30/30

Mhrazhar grasps Arris' Tear tightly. "There is work to be done. So many to kill, so little time."

[OOC: How far away is the Grove from here? I am assuming that the Preservers there would not mind doling out some healing to a wayward Inquisitor (for a price), and possibly watch over Zykovian?

How far away is the ship? How much time do we have until they depart? Incidentally is there any equipment of note here?
]

(OOC: The Grove is several Wards away, though they would heal for a price and watch Zykovian if you could manage to get them both over there. The ship is much closer--just one Ward down. Departure is not until the next morning. The main equipment of note is some swords and Mojiin-scale armour.

Mhrazhar straps the swords to himself, and packs the mojiin scale armor. He then carefully picks up his uncle and goes outside to pick up Zykovian as well. He will carry them as far as he can while trying avoiding main streets. If he can find a horse or something similar to purchase he will and make his way to the ship hoping that there will be someone there to tend to Zykovian and Uncle Dhrazhiran. :) I will also keep an eye on Arris' Tear as we go.

I will have a message sent to the Grove to have someone come and sanitize the place. My preference is to burn the place down, but I am thinking that our Preservers will have a better way of dealing with it.

*Mhrazhar struggles with trying to balance all of those heavy and unwieldy large objects as he makes his way towards the docks, eventually having to drop them and carry two and then one, staggering onto the ship.*

"Can't trust Grove...Her master must be...lurking there..." Dhrazhiran mumbles as Mhrazhar readies to engage in his search.
