I'm moving to the Lansing area in the next few weeks. I would like to attend gameday, but I don't know if I will be able to (depends on what kind of employment I can get).

If I can make it but all the PC spots are filled, is it acceptable to watch? (DnD as a spectator sport :) )

As shadowlight already noted, it's almost always possible to squeeze in an extra body -- especially if the GM's have advance notice of that possibility and bring extra pregens. At previous Gamedays I've attended there are usually a few people who came just to be part of the experience, or found their time freed up at the last minute and weren't scheduled to play in any games. They either watch and chat, squeeze into a "full" game, or play a side game like KAMB. In any event, they have fun -- so by all means, come if you can!!

** Side note **
I'm probably gonna run d20 CoC in my time slot, shadowlight. I just figured it would be worthwhile to offer a diverse array of games on the slate. Details to follow.

Also, three of my gaming friends have already committed to attending our little soiree. They may or may not chime in themselves, but until they select games, we've got several more guaranteed attendees.

Ah, I was thinking of playing in your game, QB. Sounds like you'll be running a scenario you've already run for me though...

Well, I guess I'll keep my mind open then. If there's more interest in D&D, I shouldn't attempt to control the desires of the masses ;). Hopefully as things take shape and draw near, we'll have a sense of what people prefer...until then shadowlight should leave my time slot options alone.

Sorry for the continued waffling. I'm just aiming to please, here.

It's not just for you. My concern, though, is that CoC doesn't always draw a crowd which is why I originally offered two concepts. I'd love to run Cthulhu -- especially if it means I'm introducing the game to some first time players -- but I've got no problem rolling out some new D&D material for general consumption and feedback.

Excellent! Let me know if there's anything they want to sign up for... although it's always great to have new posters on EN World!

I'll leave the description how it is for now then. Just remember that the Game Day is for you to have fun too, so it's OK to run something that you'd enjoy!:)
