Detroit Gameday: Jan 31!! The Aftermath!!

mudpy8's game will be awesome I assure you - he's been a good friend for many years and one of the most creative and functional GMs I've ever had the honor to play with. Even if you're not sure you'd be into Hero, please sign up and play - newbies are very welcome and invariably find that he makes the game very presentable and easy to digest. You just may find you have another system to add some variety to your gaming life. ;)

shadowlight, I think you should definitely play - like I said he preps very well for these events and runs things smoothly. You may find yourself asking to become a playtester for further materials as they develop them. And bring some friends - I'd like to see him have enough people to play, which is what's been making it hard for me to commit to something else. If he doesn't get enough players (probably 4 minimum) I'll probably play that (since I've never done that adventure anyway) to get in on the fun and assure it happens. I'll keep checking back to see how the sign ups are going...later.

g33ko gzus, you had me at "shadowlight" :)

btw, I drove over to Pandemonium this last weekend (I live in Canton right off Ford so it's pretty close) for the first time and two things came to mind:

1) car pool, parking sucks - save space for others; if you can't get in the lot then I parked up behind mcd's and walked...exercise is good. And you can grab a cheeseburger on the way to nullify the vital calories you'll burn traversing that block of distance. ;)

2) is pandemonium saving space/know we're coming? there were alot of people there when I stopped by. I'm sure we can get tables, but just making sure things are well-planned for.

There's actually a very large game room "in the back" (and no, that doesn't mean that it's that kind of game room) completely reserved for us that would easily accomodate 100+ gamers. Parking, though is a good point.

I also live in Canton -- near Palmer and Sheldon. Small world!

I'm on Morton Taylor just north o' Ford - I could almost throw a d20 into your backyard. ;)

Probably mine too. I live two doors down from JDyal... so does that mean you're carpooling with us? :)

Alrighght, after hemming and hawking over the afternoon sessions, I'd like to sign up for the COC game. I've never played COC before, but I did a bunch of lit crit work pertaining to Lovercraft back in grad school. If inexperienced players are a problem, let me know and I'll consider the other options.

Possibly...got an Explorer so plenty o' room for passengers and dice bags. Mudpyr8 might end up coming with me and maybe others (still working on other friends) in which case I might not have room for you guys. And there's the issue of time - how late you guys want to stay and what not vs. what I can. I got me one of them wife things that has a remote control with a zapper, and her finger is awfully itchy at times. ;) But I'll keep this in mind and when we get closer to the "day" I'll obviously know more about the logistics.
