Detroit Gameday: Jan 31!! The Aftermath!!

That's assuming we survive the first hour. :)
The first CoC game I ever played, I got extremely unlikely and went catatonic for 90 game hours the first time I looked at a book. Luckily, the GM was a bit on the merciful side and let someone make some kind of Heal check or something to pop me out of it so I could actually play the scenario. Later on, I killed two Deep Ones by backing over them with a Chevelle. ;)

Is it quicker to not even take the freeway?
Probably so. I'd probably take I-96 in from the Bridge (or the Tunnel either one, I think) and then exit on Middlebelt and head south. The store isn't easy to spot coming from that direction, but once you cross Ford Road, be ready to make a left turn pretty quick. It's right next to a Freemason's lodge if I remember correctly.

mudpyr8, I get a 404 Not Found error when I try the second URL above. Do you have an updated URL?

He's been updating the site like a madman...so I looked and found the intro material here:

Don't see the character's yet.

And I highly recommend the game folks, Shane has a unique and sophisticated way of running. And he runs Hero for newbies all the time at Con's and everyone seems surprised at how easy it is to play. So take the chance. It's good stuff.

I read through the campaign setting description and it sounds interesting. I also read through the 5 page summary of the Hero system (on the hero games web site) and it seems like fun. I'm looking forward to this game (but not to the amount of cash I'm going to have to pay for the Hero book if I like it! :))

One more thing:

I'm going to bring some soda, cups, and some napkins. If you can, bring a bag of chips or something snacky to share -- it should enhance the Gamday buzz!

I know this feeling. :) I went out and bought Mutants and Masterminds earlier this week before the game got cancelled. Still can't wait to play it, just need to find a GM. ;-)

I really wish it could've worked out Kender. If anyone is up to it I'd consider starting an IRC game, starting along a similar vein. I feel pretty bad about the late withdrawal, and would run the game if another Gameday in Detroit is ever a possibility.

Me too. And I look forward to trying.

Interested in coming down to Foundations Game Con in early March? It's a REALLY nice con! I'm gonna be there all three days this year. :)
