You know, I normally don't get into these kinds of posts, regardless of my opinion on the subject, but I have to this time.

This is pure and unadultered opportunism. I, for one, am highly disappointed. :\

You do know the other company in this ongoing melodrama announced that they would be doing a d20 espionage line after Louis began publishing his....

Really not trying to stir anything up here. I think I speak for a lot of EN Worlders when I say I'd really like to see the whole bad blood thing just go away, even if that means just taking it to private correspondence.

Thanks :)

As I said, I normally don't get into it, and beyond my post above I don't intend to prolong it either. I realize there are issues (to put it midly) between the publishers in question but that is their problem to deal with. My post was made as a customer, not as a fellow publisher.

Just thought I'd post a comment.

I'm the Line Developer for the Imperial Age line by Adamant Entertainment. In addition to the usual capitalist concerns, I created this line because of my extraordinary love for the Victorian era. For me, any product, whatever the origin, that fuels interest in this genre can only be a good thing.

The Imperial Age is not the first Victorian RPG setting; it isn't even the first d20 setting (that honor goes to Masque of the Red Death). It would be foolish of us to claim a monopoly on the genre or get bent out of shape because another publisher puts out a compatible product, which is the very essence of the OGL.

I hope that customers support the Imperial Age line because of its quality, not because it's the only game in town. If Victorian Age Feats, or any other product, enhances your enjoyment of the line, then I'm happy. We have great things planned for the Imperial Age line in the coming year and I'd love for everyone interested in Victorian gaming to support us.

But only if we deserve it.

Walt Ciechanowski
Imperial Age Line Developer for Adamant Entertainment
