Devoted Challenge and Marked Scourge

First Post
Would this feat:

Devoted Challenge

Prerequisites: Dwarf, fighter, Combat Challenge
class feature
Benefit: When you make a melee basic attack
granted by Combat Challenge, you gain a bonus to
the attack and damage rolls equal to your Wisdom
modifier.

Stack with this one?:

Marked Scourge

Prerequisites: 11th level, fighter, Combat Challenge
class feature
Benefit: Add your Wisdom modifier to damage
rolls you make against enemies marked by you.

As I read both, it seems that yes, they would stack, but it does seem a bit overpowered...

Looks like they would stack. The moral of the story seems to be that you shouldn't shift or attack anyone else when a dwarf fighter is marking you.

For extra pain, add the Dirty Fighting path feature of the Pit Fighter paragon path.

It does stack (because both bonuses are unnamed) and it is overpowered.

Mostly because of Marked Scourge. Fighters aren't always attacking someone they've already marked, but they often are, and so it amounts to a gigantic amount of extra damage handed to a class that already did plenty.

Agreed. Each of the feats/powers other than Marked Scourge, are reasonable. But Marked Scourge is too powerful AND you shouldn't be able to add a stat to a damage roll more than once IMO.

This may be the second most broken thing (next to double weapons and the tempest fighter build). Someone really likes fighters (other than me, it was my favorite class before all these additions).

With a third or even fourth stat requirement, I don't see it as all that bad, especially as one is race restricted (though that race does indeed get a wisdom boost)

It is pretty easy for monsters to avoid devoted challenge, though a bit harder for the second. Yes, if you mark an opponent and then he does something that grants an attack, go for it. After all the combat challenge is most likely a melee basic attack (especially with a dwarf and his axe/hammer) so why not add +3 to hit and +6 damage (on average)? Not that big of a deal.
