D&D 3E/3.5 Devoted Defender, 3.5

Just a general poll/query.
What's people's favorite Devoted Defender builds?
Combat reflexes and combat expertise seem to be "a must have", so Dex and Int should be 13+.

Some ideas:
Fighter 5
Cleric 7
Swashbuckler 5
Barbarian 1/Ranger 2/Rogue 2
Fighter 4/Rogue 2
Monk 7

My personal favorite, since I'm working towards Devoted Defender at the moment with this guy is:

Barbarian 2/Ranger 3/Forsaker 10

Forsaker early to "ensure I survive", and Devoted Defender levels late to "make sure everyone else survives". And have they updated the DD to 3.5 yet, or is this still the Sword&Fist writeup?

Devoted Defender

In a campaign I just finished leading, one of the main NPC's became a Devoted Defender to one of the PC's. After starting out as a 4th lvl fighter, he went on to 6 levels in ranger, 3 levels in Devoted defender and 2 levels of the Survivor PrC from Savage Species and it worked quite well.

As for 3.5 versions of the Defender, there aren't any to my knowledge and I think it's because there really doesn't need to be, the class is pretty straight forward and doesn't require a lot of conversion, all you need to do is update the skills and it's ready to go.

As far as I know, Sword and Fist is the only version.
