[DHR] Sidewinder: Recoiled logo and cover...

Geoff

First Post
Hit the dusty trail, capture the excitement of your favorite western move or novel and head back to the days of the Wild West. Sidewinder: Recoiled recreates the cinematic high action feel of the popular western genre with the d20 Modern rules.
Revisions to the base classes and skills, new feats, a dozen plus advanced classes, a complete list of conveyances and equipment (using both the wealth system and a standard monetary system) and all the SRD material you need to play in the wild west are here.

Sidewinder: Recoiled will be released in PDF format in the fall of 2003. This rulebook will take the original concept of d20 pure wild west and convert it to the d20 Modern rules system; the original Sidewinder d20 book is not required.

So grab your duster, strap on those hoglegs and ride off toward the sunset, a bounty hunter is on your tail.

Howdy Pardner!
How about some previews of this one or maybe at least a list of some of the advanced classes the new version will contain.
Regards,
Brutorz Bill

Bill we will be releasing some previews as certain sections get completed and polished up. As a matter of fact, I just got through reviewing the finalized and layed out version of the first chapter and it looks awesome.

We also have another little something special that should be riding into town sometime this coming week, so keep looking down the trail.

Is there a release date set for a print edition?

Will the book (PDF and/or print) contains detailed information (fluff) of firearms that were in use during the Wild West & Civil War period to go along with the crunchy stats?

BTW, the cover above is cool but there seems to be an open space in the center, despite the watermarked cobra image.

Anyhoo, just as long I can play a "Magnificent Seven" type campaign, I'm content.

Let's see Ranger, to run down your questions...

Right now the current target released date is October 31st. If we don't make that, we will get close as we are currently on track to meet that date.

Yes, there will be detailed information on historical firearms in Recoiled. While the list won't be that extensive, it will be enough for any beginning character to get started with. If things go well, we will hopefully be doing a firearms book to cover hoglegs of the era.

Ya know, I kind of initially thought that about the cover as well, but after seeing it for a while it doesn't seem that way anymore. And yes, you will definately be able to play a "Magnificen Seven" campaign.

yee haw! :D

i hear you talking pdf, pardner, but what about a print release? is that coming later or not at all?

(i prefer print to pdf, so if a print copy will be available later, i'll hold off until then.)

I knew one of you Yahoo group fellas would catch this sooner or later. That dates actually been shown on the upcoming products list at RPGNow for some time now.

And just so you know, as of right now, we are on target to hit that date.

For you cowpokes that prefer to have the thin cut lumber edition, a print on demand version will be available from RPGMall the same time the PDF version is released at RPGNow. As an added bonus, you'll also be roping in the PDF version when you wrangle up the print on demand.

Hope that helps.
