[SBLOCK=Octavio]-=-=-= Room 2 - Round 16 =-=-=-
Octavio write down 38. The number dissapear. As he looks at the number on the side, the 50 is still there, but the 25 have been replaced by the 38 he has just written. Now he stares at a flat stone with a carved 38 on the left and a carved 50 on the right. [/SBLOCK]

[sblock=Velmont]Deos stares at the stone with open-mouthed shock. "This puzzle makes absolutely no sense! There are no indications as to it's function, and for all I know, I could be wasting my time scribbling on this stone instead of looking for a way out." He rubs the bridge of his nose and sits for a moment with his eyes closed.

He slowly tries to talk his way through what he knows. "It appears that numbers are what I am supposed to write here, as the numbers on the sides change depending on what number I write down. One would logically assume that there is a midpoint at which the number ceases to appear on the left and begins to appear on the right. That midpoint isn't at the exact midpoint between 0 and 100. So where is it? If I were to do this carefully, and use the least number of attempts, then I would need to choose a number between the two I have now and write it down. If I keep doing that, I will narrow it down much faster than I would if I just started writing numbers down randomly. If I find the midpoint and that fails to do anything, then I'll try symbols next to see if that makes any difference. Let's see, there are 24 numbers between 25 and 49, so the first midpoint number would be 37."

Deos writes down "37" on the stone.

[SBLOCK=Octavio]-=-=-= Room 3 - Round 18 =-=-=-
Octavio write down 44. To his surprise, the number doesn't dissapear. He then starts to hear the sound of rock sliding on rock. The large stone start to move into the wall. He suddenly sees the piece fall down and hear it hit the ground. He sees on the other side another room.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=Velmont]"Ha-HA! Try to outsmart me with a piece of wall, will you!" Octavio will keep the chalk and enter the next room.[/sblock]

[sblock=Velmont]Deos looks on as the numbers change. His hope that he is onto the right solution fades a little more. "Maybe there isn't a midpoint. Hmm. Well, there's only a couple more numbers to try before I try something else, I might as well write them down. I do have all day in here, after all. Let's see, 31 is the next midpoint."

Deos writes down a "31".

OOC: Once Deos runs out of midpoints, he's going to try drawing a triangle. After that, depending on what happens, I might be looking to try yet another clue on this puzzle.

[SBLOCK=Octavio]-=-=-= Room 3 - Round 19 =-=-=-
Octavio slip through the hole and step on the large stone that was blocking teh way. On his pedestal, he see a room similar to the one he just came from. The room is 10 feet by 10 feet with smooth stony floor and wall similar to the previous room. On his left, he see the door to exit, a large metal door, most likely made of steel. At first sight, there is no lock or handle to it, only a golden wall plate with something written on it. Octavio climb down and read what is on it: "Only lovers can pass"
[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=Velmont]Deos furrows his brow and frowns at the newly opened door. "I'm just as happy as the next scholar to stumble accidentally onto the solution, holy Antonidas. But I'm not entirely sure why that's the solution." Deos makes a mental note to write down his work on the puzzle and the solution when he gets out of the maze, and to ask the other contestants if they had the same difficulties. He tosses the chalk over his shoulder and heads into the next room, eager to see what new challenge awaits.

OOC: Will you be posting the solutions to the maze puzzles after everyone is finished with the maze? I'm going to be pretty curious to see what that last one was.

From this point of view, it is easier for him to see the rats hole. The hole is the largest of all the ones he can see. It diameters is almost two feet of diameters. Another thing that attract his attention, it is the hole seems brigther than the others, just as there was some light that was coming from inside the hole.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Actions:
Round 4: Look at the rat's hole (Move action)[/SBLOCK] [/SBLOCK]
[sblock=Velmont]Semabin moves to the rat hole and examines it.[/sblock]
