D&D 3E/3.5 Did they remove point buy from the 3.5 DMG?

I was just looking for the point-buy character build rules last night and I couldn't find them in the 3.5 DMG or PHB. No problem in locating them in the 3e DMG.

Am I going blind, or have they removed them? Any idea why?

Hmm, it's gotta be there. DIdn't chargen stuff get moved to the back of the book (before Magic Items though)? Don't have my DMG handy so I can't help.

Hm. I was trying to keep the sig short and make a point about the badassness of Arthas (by comparing this to typical dragon hunter - dragon conversations). But maybe a small change is in order now...

Thanks. I tried just about everything else I could think of in the index (character generation, point buy, variations thereof) but didn't think of that one.
