EN Worlders are not typical customers, they buy more. And there re many die hard fans here, heck, there is still a good chunk of people here that only use Wizard books for their game and don't even consider anything else.
But anyway, I don't see a number between 15%-25% of EN Worlders as very low. We don't have to forget that this book is something that (i) nobody needs, because it does not contain anything (most) potential customers do not already own, and (ii) is relatively expensive. In this light, that's a respectable number.

I'll probably pick it up when I've got some cash floating around. A lot of people don't see the utility in buying it, but I guarantee they'll have the coolest PH at the table if they did. And some people like to stand out in a crowd. Remember, it's a special edition; it's not meant for everyone to buy.

I know if I was at a convention or at someone else's gaming group and a player had the special edition, I'd want to look at theirs over anyone else's.

I didn't buy it, but my players -- bless their little hearts -- bought a copy for me, as an end-of-campaign gift. A very cool gesture.

Now that's cool.

My players just tell me that they slay the DM, roll a natural 20, roll double-zeros on the old "Good Hits and Bad Misses" chart from Dragon, which in turn immediately slays me.

True story. ;)

No plans to buy it. A little pricey and even if it weren't I would probably put the money towards a new book with new content. The reality of it is the book would just sit on a shelf and I would rather use my books rather than display them. So it just doesn't hold much interest for me.

To me, with very limited funds, the $75 price tag is too far out of my reach. I'm already pick and choose with the new supplement books. If they're not ones I'd rush out and get I'll get a pdf of it, peruse it further and go from there.....

One of my DMs has it. But then he buys EVERYTHING WOTC puts out. He figures that if we'd need it, he's got it (unless he leaves it at home.... happens sometimes).

I'd rather save that $75 and take it down to Dragoncon and spend it on nifty stuff there! :D

If I still had great enthusiasm for the 3.x editions I would buy it. Just because I think it would be neat.

I bought two each of the 3.0 PH. DMG, MM when they first came out. One set has not seen the light of day after a quick check for pagination errors and remains untouched. The other set got extensive use. I even had book covers custom made for them.

The other self-indulgence was the purchase of the white box set of OD&D booklets. They are safely tucked away after a photocopy session.

Of course if I knew what color the ribbon was for the SEPH I might be tempted to buy one if any are still around.
