Mind you, I havne't bought it either, but mainly because of price.

I really couldn't pass it up, actually. I put a deposit down on the SE when it came into the store, and finally bought it some three months later.

Apart from anything else, I can point to it and say, "that's mine", since none of the other people I play with (who have PHBs) have the SE PHB.

No, way too much money for a book to set on the shelf and look at. Besides I'm done with 3.0/3.5, not that I would have paid that much for a single PHB anyway.

I don't have it yet, but I would like to pick it up.
Hopefully somewhere in the $50 range.
Until then other books have priority.
Besides I only want it for my collection so no rush on it.

I don't get as much joy out of the ribbon as Merric does, but I'm glad to have it.

I bought it and use it, but not in game. I love the feel of a leather book when I read it.

I would have had fewer reservations about buying it if I knew they were going to also do the DMG and MM. The set would have looked really nice on the shelf. But no such luck.
