this poll does not bode well for this book. En Worlders are usually more likey to shell out money then most gamers. WE have lots of high spenders here yet very few people here are willing to buy it.

But I don't think that EN Worlders are typical WotC customers. This site is based on the love for diversity, the spirit of the OGL and the SRD. Buyers of special editions of this kind are usually die-hard fans of a company and might be found on the WotC boards or not on internet boards at all, but not necessarily here.

Of course, there are always exceptions - see post #1 :D;)!

EN Worlders are not typical customers, they buy more. And there re many die hard fans here, heck, there is still a good chunk of people here that only use Wizard books for their game and don't even consider anything else.

I have two. One is still in the plastic. The other is used for games.
Wow, do you get two votes, then?

You should! Or you can give one to me and I can try to change my vote. ;)

Yes I bought it but not for playing value, nor do I collect books. Only because I had some extra cash that was burning a hole in my pocket and the fact that I am a WOTC tramp. lol

The Seraph of Earth and Stone

Nope, not intending to either. I've already got too many other books on my plate to justify buying a collector's edition (despite my ribbon envy).

Incidentally, the latest printing of the regular PHB has all the errata in it. You don't need to get the Special Edition to get it...

...but I have a ribbon! :D

Cheers!

Excellent ... I can upgrade to 3.5 for regular price and then devote whatever time I must, bordered only by the limits of my sanity, to the attainment of my very own ribbon.

Atrocities may be performed and innocents may very well suffer, but only those privy to the intoxication of owning a ribbon understand my willingness to make these sacrifices.

I'm still not buying the special edition PH.
