Did you sign up to be a part of gaming history?

Has anybody received emails regarding the playtest?

Most of my group "signed up" and nobody I know has received any info. Weird since it's less than two weeks until the big day. The only reason my group even knows it is coming is because I am so active in staying up to date on 5e developments. I am glad I saw it too, my group was able to schedule a night into our busy schedules to try it out.

Even stranger, there is still very little mention of it on the D&D official site. You have to do some digging to even find reference to it. I suppose they could be relying on word of mouth (not a bad strategy considering how small the hobby is), but why not advertise the playtest a bit more on their site?

Anyways, just thought it peculiar.

You should have received an automated confirmation email when you first signed up, but unless they contacted you individually that should be the extent of it so far. There have been no mass-mailings.

I signed up. I think I got that confirmation, but I haven't gotten anything else. I don't know why they haven't at least sent something like: "This is when your playtest is coming and this is what it will look like".

I wouldn't expect anything like that before the 24th.

From the most recent information online, it sounded like they were just going to make some material available for download on their website.

I received an e-mail on April 25th that informed me of the upcoming Playtest.

Don't know if it came from the original sign up or something else.

I signed up when they first announced 5e, and never received even a confirmation email. A few days later, I did it again with a different email address and still never got a confirmation email.

I am a DDI subscriber and I have joined the D&D Next group though.

Hopefully it's a glitch in their system.
