Different Cleric - your help needed

So, is the right forum?

I want to design a cleric that isn't heavy armor wearing, can move fast, isn't just about healing - but can heal, and can do damage when it needs to but prefers to let the barbarian shine in that role.

The group is only 4 characters (the other three are newbies and I'll be running this as a DMPC) - sorcerer, barbarian, druid.

Thoughts from anyone?

We'll be in the forgotten realms, probably running a toned down savage tide.

I would recommend finding one of the deities that have celerity in their domain, elvish mainly I think, for the free +10 to base movement as part of the domain ability. Take Zen archery Feat to maximize the Wis bonus and have him/her be a death dealing machine with a combo of enchanted arrows and stuff like that.

Just a quick idea...

Perhaps the Sacred Fist prestige class from Complete Divine would suit your need. It's fairly easy to qualify for and nets you increased unarmed damage, speed, and divine spellcasting.

Here's a variation of a build I played last year:

Monk 2/Cleric 4/Sacred Fist 10/Church Inquisitor 3/Contemplative 1

Feats: Divine Spell Power (1), Combat Casting (Human), Extra Turning (3), Improved Unarmed Strike (Monk 1), Stunning Fist (Monk 1), Combat Reflexes (Monk 2), Practiced Spellcaster (6), Improved Natural Attack (9), Quicken Spell (12), Divine Metamagic: Quicken Spell (15), Craft Contingent Spell (18)

+16 BAB, saves 15/12/15, Caster level 16 (18 if you value the text over the table), 60 ft. movement speed (70 w/ celerity domain), 3D6 unarmed damage, immunity to charms, pierce illusions, two bonus domains (one free, one Inquisition), evasion, etc...

Either way...just my 2 cp
