Different styles of healers, lets hear em!

The dragonborns in the party are very annoyed because they can't stay bloodied no matter how hard they try.

Maybe they weren't trying quite as hard as they thought, all they need to do is step out of the consecrated ground. It covers a fairly small area, so it should be pretty easy to get out of it while still being able to hit things, plus it moves slowly and needs to stay adjacent to the cleric at all times.

Cleric >>>> any other healer esp with Divine Power. Shamans are kinda fun, but the OA heal thing can be pretty weak if your DM doesn't provoke them often and honestly they're a bit lacking in options (feats etc) until Primal Power is out.

Looks like he has made the decision of making a Kalashtar Lazor Cleric. Any feat/power suggestions? Pretty much everything is open except the Dragon magazines.

Just so you know, a party with a warlord and a cleric can pump out a LOT of healing triggers. I've currently run a party consisting of the following up to level 6:

Dwarf wis cleric
Eladrin int warlord
Eladrin cha paladin
Eladrin orb wizard
Dragonborn melee ranger

Let me tell you, its really tough to go through their healing triggers in an encounter - basically, in anything less than a lvl. +3 encounter there is pretty much no chance of taking down any of the combatants absent some very concentrated focus fire.

So, you'll need to keep that in mind when doing encounter design.

Yeah I have noticed this in our first session last night. Really hard to push them to use up even a few of their triggers. Though I also forgot to add more badguys due to the added 6th player, I will remember that for next time :)

Cheers,
E

There was a pretty good healing cleric/artificer build on the 4e char op forum. Just trying to remember some good feats from it. . .

If he can get a 13 int, multiclass artificier (student of artifice) is very nice; you gain training in arcana, and a daily heal/tmp hp power that doesnt require the target to spend a healing surge. Plus, it gives access to the very powerful feat, Potent Restorables, which adds a scaling bonus to all healing powers.

Healers Implement is great for another scaling bonus to healing powers.

Coordinated explosion is nice if he has a lot of area/burst/blast spells, which he should as a lazor cleric.

Implement expertise of course.
