Cool thread! Lots of attorneys, teachers, and CPU folks.
When I was in law school I started an unusual group. I mentioned at my favorite bar that I liked to game to one of the cooks. He convinced me to run a game after hours on Tuesday night.
We started after the bar closed 2:00 AM with three cooks, two bartenders, two bouncers, and one law student (me). We played until 5:30 AM and everyone had a blast. Let me tell you - that group was hard on my grades, but what a blast. Hard-drinking, fun people who had never played any kind of RPG before.
The only hitch was an occasional fight over cigarettes or beer, but for the most part I have never had a group so completely enthralled in adventure gaming.
Helped me realize something I already understood in part - There are a lot of brilliant, creative people who never stepped foot on a college campus.
BTW - this is also a sneaky bump to see more group compositions. Mine's at the top.
