Kallithyia: Palmaid/Female (Amazon)

RA: [sblock]“My dignity can never be restored, Catullus,” Kallithyia spoke in the soft forced calm of a warrior as she stood before him but it quickly faded, almost like any respect she had for him faded too, as she turned and move away from him, careful that her face and eyes where hidden from view.

“and you’re wrong, Catullus, I could remember the faces of ten men that I needed to kill but now they are all blurred together… The Narlse intercepted the Spelljamming ship my sisters and me were on and I listened foolishly to those that would bed men for pleasure, like your sister, and I’ve been paying for that decision ever since. The crews of the various vessels alone must have been over a hundred and Narlsemen are a proud group and they not inclined for women to tell them how to act so it was a long time of escapable pain before they gave up and sold us, my sisters in I but I do believe they kept the others, those more like your sister, for there own pleasure. All I know for sure is that they didn't protest as we did and they didn't accompany on are voyage here.”

“But really, Catullus? Do the numbers really matter?”

Kalli:
[SBLOCK]
"You were captured by Narlsemen too? That explains it...I will show you no pity because such would be an insult to your honour, but the thought of what those brutes have done angers me. I wish there was some way I could comfort you, but I know that there is none. The best I can do is set you free. The rest will have to come from you. But I do believe in you, even though I know you can't believe in me. Your honour will be restored someday, Kallithyia. You have been strong enough so far that any warrior would be proud, and even awed by you, and I know that you will persevere..."

Kallithyia: Palmaid/Female (Amazon)

RA: [sblock]“It seems as if I have no choice but to persevere, Catullus,” she turned back to him her freshly cleaned cheeks wet with tears from the horrific memories, “your unwillingness to show me truly mercy has all but forced it.” [/sblock]

Kalli:
[SBLOCK]
"I told you, I cannot kill you now because I would certainly be arrested and treated to a similar fate for doing so--I like to think of myself as a nice person, but I'm not willing to do that, not when I can get you out of here. But soon, when I have freed you, I will do it if you still wish to die and cannot be convinced otherwise...Are you still sure that you don't want to be healed? Those wounds look like they hurt you so..."

Kallithyia: Palmaid/Female (Amazon)

RA: [sblock]* The memories would never fade, she didn’t doubt that and wasn’t sure how she could ever truly live with them but she bit her tongue, she realized that Catullus would understand the repercussions of his actions in this society more than she ever would. *

“There fine,” Kalli said abrasively as she hid her wounded arms at the mention of healing but she seemed to hesitate and then reconsider his offer, her eyes emerald green eyes where ice cold, “but since you’re so insistent. Fine. Heal them but if you try anything foolishly I will kill you and I will figure out someway to kill your fiancée. Do we understand each other?” [/sblock]

Kalli:
[SBLOCK]
"Oh, I do doubt you'd be able to find her, but I accept your terms, Kallithyia, as I will not try anything like that, I promise I won't, and I only wish that could be enough, but I understand that you have been hurt in the past..."

*He pulls out a wand and palms it in his hand as he brings his fingers slowly and tentatively towards Kalli's injuries, touching his fingers against them as gently and gingerly as he can manage as he closes his eyes and concentrates. As he does so, healing energy pours through the wand and into his fingertips, entering into Kalli's body with a pleasant warmth that washes away some of the pain and closes her wound. He continues to do this for each of her injuries, until finally all of the physical pain is gone, leaving only a pleasant tingling in its place, though unfortunately, the magic did nothing to assuage any of the emotional pain...*

Kallithyia: Palmaid/Female (Amazon)

RA: [sblock] * Kallithyia waited till he had almost finished with his healing before she sprang to attack him. *

OOC: Was he foolish enough to allow himself to get close enough to her so that she could grapple him? Also her chains, I imagine that they limit her movement but she could easily use them to choke him with it? Anyhow, her preference is trip and then grapple him. (She won’t try to do any unarmed damage right now.)

Kalli:

(OOC: Well, sort of. She has to be able to enter his square to maintain a grapple, but she can't do that, so she can grapple and deal normal unarmed damage, but then cannot maintain a hold (see page 156 of the PH "If you can't move into your target's space, you can't maintain the grapple and must immediately let go of the target. To grapple again, you must begin at Step 1.). Let me know exactly what she is going to do, please.)

Kallithyia: Palmaid/Female (Amazon)

RA: [sblock]“If you had come here a week or two ago there would have been two of us,” Kallithyia watched Catullus tend to her wounds but offered no hint of gratitude as she watched, “so why now?”

OOC: I guess we see her being chained differently then. I see more than a 5-foot chain, which would allow her to move from one space to another and she had just walked into the very corner and turned around. Oh well, let’s just continue on.

"Because I'm not the kind of man who watches those horrible fights, and so I didn't find out about it until now. It saddens me that I couldn't have acted sooner, but I took action as soon as I could...I can't believe they keep you chained up in here like this, it's so awful. I know my Sister never really felt comfortable unless she was able to bathe in water, but she was a Naiad, and you are a Palmaid? I hope that's right. Anyway, it wasn't easy, but I brought some fresh coconuts."

*He takes two coconuts out from his backpack.*

"Here, they are yours."

*He places them in Kalli's hands or her lap, whichever is available.*

"I know your arms are probably too restrained to use these, and I'll help you if you like, but these are yours now, so if you don't want me doing it, I understand."

(OOC: It would be kind of silly for the guards to chain her in such a way that it would be easy to strangle them, but hey it's no biggie that we saw it different ways...Besides, I like your new post, as it seems to make more sense)
