Diplomatic Immunity: Tiberius and Claudia

*Reaching their room, Tiberius unlocks the door and enters, gesturing for Claudia to wait a moment as he makes sure no one lies in wait for them, considering the events of the day. Finding their room empty of any obvious threat, he motions for her to enter, closing and locking the door behind her.*

Turning towards Claudia after he locks the door, Tiberius smiles as he crosses to her and asks, “So, are you in the mood to continue our earlier play, dear heart, or has the day drained all thoughts of passion from you?”

"Well...they do say that a memento mori is a sign that we should live life to the fullest. Do you think Ammon would have wanted you to mourn him or to respect his zest for life and capacity for love? I didn't know him well enough to answer that for you--only you can," Claudia answers, gazing at Tiberius with kind compassion, reading the hurt in his eyes that still lingers from the moment he discovered the murder, even though he hasn't allowed himself to express it openly.

Wondering why Claudia would raise the subject of Ammon now, as he tries to push the events of the day out of his mind for a short while, he nevertheless answers her question, “Ammon... I’d say he’d definitely prefer people to respect the way he lived and loved, by living their own lives to the fullest, rather than mourning. Why do you ask, dear heart?”

"Because I know you Tiberius. You are a man of duty--of honour. If we hadn't gotten this out of the way first, a little part of you might have felt like you were turning your back on your duty and held back. And now that you're here with me again...I don't want to hold back, Tiberius...not anymore. All this time I've been able to continue by imagining this day, and though I certainly didn't expect all of this, it isn't too late to end it the way it ends in my dreams...We're together now, Tiberius," she slips into his arms, her voice dropping to a suggestive whisper, "Show me how you feel about me..."

“I’d never hold anything back with you, Claudia, no matter the circumstances, but showing you will be far more persuasive than mere words...” Tiberius replies softly, lifting Claudia easily from the floor, as he engages her in a passionate, lingering kiss. His hands cradling and stroking her body sensually, as he moves them towards the bed.

*Claudia closes her eyes and sighs softly and langourously in pleasure, reclining gently onto the bed as they reach it as she strokes a hand across Tiberius's cheek.*

*Some time later, Claudia rests peacefully in Tiberius's arms.*

"Tiberius, I love you..." she whispers quietly.

*His lips brushing her hand as is nears his lips, Tiberius joins Claudia on the bed, before kissing her deeply again. His mind fully on the moment and her, as he incorporates the techniques he learned from Aspasia in their love-making.*

Kissing her gently on the cheek, as she professes her love, Tiberius whispers in return, “And I love you, Claudia. I hope it was all you dreamed, dear heart, as it was that and more for me...”

*Claudia smiles and nestles against Tiberius. After a long and harrowing day and a pleasant night, they drift off to sleep.*

*When Tiberius awakens, Claudia is still sleeping in his arms, a smile on her lips.*

*Tiberius grins as he finds Claudia still in his arms. Leaning over gently so as not to disturb her, he bringing his own smiling lips towards hers, hoping to wake her with a tender kiss.*
